A key visual and the premiere date of 6 January 2024 were just disclosed on the official website of the manga series “A Sign of Affection.” Along with the announcement of the opening and closing theme songs, there were two new cast members.
The theme songs for the opening and closing credits are respectively performed by the Japanese band Novelbright and the musical ensemble ChoQMay. The opening theme song is named “Yuki no Oto” (The Sound of Snow). Following are the newly revealed cast members:
- Kokoro Iyanagi voiced by Tasuku Hatanaka (Denki in My Hero Academia)
- Emma Nakazono voiced by Nao Toyama (Rin in Laid-Back Camp)
A Sign of Affection, inspired by the anime series by Su Morishita (Like a Butterfly), is being produced by Yuta Murano (Kakushigoto) at studio Ajiado. Yukari Hashimoto (Komi Can’t Communicate) is composing the series, Yoko Yonaiyama (Ya Boy Kongming!), designing the characters, and Kasumi Sakai is illustrating.
Crunchyroll is responsible for streaming the series in many countries. As the show airs in Japan, Crunchyroll will stream it in the CIS, the Middle East, Oceania, Europe, South America, Central America, and North America.
What is ‘A Sign of Affection’ is about?
Suu Morishita’s manga series A Sign of Affection debuted in July 2019 and was serialized in Dessert, a publication of Kodansha. In the manga series ‘A Sign of Affection,’ Yuki, a college student who has been deaf throughout her entire life, shares her life and loves.
Itsuomi, who speaks several languages besides sign language, saves Yuki from a stranger who approaches her on a train one day. Despite their limited language skills, Yuki finds him endearing and begins to feel something for him.
