Through its stories and music, the Japanese YouTube label Kamitsubaki Studio offers a fresh take on the “V-world.”

It is known for collaborating with virtual artists on projects like “Cardfight!! Vanguard DivineZ” and “Muv-Luv Alternative.”

On the first day of their “Kamitsubaki Yoyogi Wars2024” event, an anime series inspired by one of their projects was revealed.

For 2025, Kamitsubaki Studio intends to turn its “Kamitsubaki City Under Construction” idea into a television animation.

The Kamitsubaki City Under Construction project’s overarching narrative explores the secrets concealed in the eponymous virtual city, which calls for the reinstatement of law and order on its desolate streets.

Members of the virtual artist group V.W.P. (Virtual Witch Phenomenon), which consists of KAF, RIM, Harusaruhi, Isekaijoucho, and KOKO, will provide the voices for the characters.

It was declared during the group’s latest Kamitsubaki Yoyogi Wars performance, which took place at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium on January 13 and 14.

The Kamitsubaki Studio also formally joined the realm of video game creation in September of last year.

Kamitsubaki Studio currently has ambitions to create virtual reality projects, adventure games, and rhythm games.

This spring, Kamitsubaki City Ensemble, a rhythm game, will also be released for Kamitsubaki City Under Construction.

Members of the V.W.P. (Virtual Witch Phenomenon) group are also providing voice acting for the characters in the game. It is being developed by Studio Lalala in collaboration with Rocket Studio, Inc.

A lot of people are interested in this fresh and different approach to anime. We’ll have to wait for the studio to provide further information as there isn’t much of it.
