Star of The Mandalorian Katee Sackhoff has spoken out about the stunt work that went into creating the Season 3 action sequences for the beloved character Bo-Katan Kryze. Bo-armor Katan’s was worn by no less than five ladies, according to Empire, while The Mandalorian Season 3 was being made.

Despite having an abundance of stunt doubles, Sackhoff did perform some of her stunts and proudly displayed the bruising that resulted. Sackhoff told the publication, “If one person has a better skill set than the other, well, that person needs to put the suit on that day.” That said, she added, “That being said, I have a wicked knee slide,”

“I’ve been practicing my knee slides in my mum’s kitchen with dish rags since I was five years old, so when that knee slide comes up, you’ll know: that’s me. There are holes in my suit because I had to do that so many times. I came home with so many bruises on my knees. But I love that.

If I came home with bruises, it was a good day!” Sackhoff stated in another section of the interview that the creators of The Mandalorian, Jon Favreau, and Rick Famuyiwa, had requested her opinion on Bo-part Katan’s in the Star Wars television series. For a very long time, I’ve been living in this woman’s body, Sackhoff remarked.

“One of the things that Jon and I focus on is where she is in the moment, what peppers her experience. Jon and Rick, every single day, defer to me, which is a crazy experience, to have these masters asking me what I feel.”

Bo-Katan originally made an appearance in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon on Cartoon Network, which was voiced by Sackhoff. Later, Sackhoff played the part again in the Disney XD animated series Star Wars Rebels. In the end, she was given the chance to portray Bo-Katan in live-action in The Mandalorian’s second season, which will debut on Disney+ in 2020.

On March 1, the eagerly awaited third season of The Mandalorian will officially premiere on Disney+. Sackhoff as Bo-Katan is joined in the upcoming season by series star Pedro Pascal, who was last seen in the spinoff limited series The Book of Boba Fett, as Din “Mando” Djarin.

For Season 3, several other Mandalorian stalwarts are also returning, including Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto, Emily Swallow as The Armorer, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, and Emily Swallow as The Armorer.
