About JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (1993)
A valiant warrior by the name of Jonathan Joestar and a malevolent vampire by the name of Dio Brando engaged in an epic battle one hundred years ago.
Following a fierce struggle, Dio took Jonathan’s lifeless body and claimed it as his own. Jotaro, Jonathan’s great-great-grandson, discovers that Dio is still alive in 1989.
One day, he locks himself in prison because he thinks he’s being held captive by a demon.
Jotaro discovers that the spirit is a Stand—a fighting spirit with a semi-solid form—when his grandpa, Joseph Joestar, visits him while he is incarcerated.
All of the Joestar family members inherited their own Stand abilities once Dio gained his own. However, Jotaro’s mother became unwell as a result of her Stand being too strong for her body.
She must overcome Dio, the source of her newfound skills, to save her. In an attempt to finally end Dio, Jotaro decides to travel with his grandfather.
