Just in time for the holiday season, Illumination and Universal’s springtime blockbuster “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” will be available on Netflix. On 3rd December 2023, the streaming service will launch, following months of $1.36 billion in worldwide ticket sales.

It’s unclear at this time whether or not the movie will be made accessible on Netflix in other countries on the same day. It might be possible that the announcement only applies to United States Netflix customers because movie distributors sometimes have various agreements for digital streaming distribution in different geographical areas.

The movie, which debuted in theatres in April, had Chris Pratt as Mario’s voice. It centers on Mario and Anya Taylor-Joy’s Princess Peach as they collaborate to take down Bowser, played by Jack Black.

The Nintendo video game series “Super Mario” served as the inspiration for the film. In 1985, the first game was made available.

About “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”

The film has a voice cast that includes Fred Armisen, Seth Rogen, Keegan-Michael Key, Jack Black, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Chris Pratt, and is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic. The story was written by Matthew Fogel.

Mario and Luigi, two siblings who are Italian-American plumbers and closest friends, are the central characters of “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.” The two brothers have rather different personalities.

Luigi is the one who wants to go nowhere, but Mario is the boldest of the two with a “let’s have a go!” mentality.

The film follows the two brothers as they travel across the Mushroom Kingdom and experience various adventures while trying to run their plumbing company.
