The impending English dubbed release date and voice cast for Undead Unluck has finally been confirmed! The anime series has been shown as part of the autumn 2023 anime schedule.
The English version of the anime Undead Unluck has been formally announced by TMS Entertainment, and its debut on December 13 on Hulu has been confirmed.
As a tribute to its involvement at the Anime Expo earlier this year, it held an open audition competition with a chance to participate in the English dub.
The winner of the competition (Eurie Nam) is also part of the dub cast that is mentioned below:
- Andy voiced by Ben Balmaceda (Hanamichi Sakuragi from THE FIRST SLAM DUNK)
- Fuko Izumo voiced by Jackie Lastra (Komekko from KONOSUBA)
- Gena voiced by Amber Lee Connors (Shoko Komi from Komi Can’t Communicate)
- Guest roles voiced by Eurie Nam (Anime Expo 2023 Open Auditions Winner)
- Shen voiced by Aleks Le (Zenitsu Agatsuma from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)
- Void voiced by Daniel Walton (Masashi Kawata from THE FIRST SLAM DUNK)
The animated series by David Production is presently available for streaming on Hulu in the United States.
In addition, it has been among the most-watched shows from David Production in the past few years, just behind Fire Force and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. It’s indisputable that one of 2023’s sleeper hits was Undead Unluck.
Plot of “Undead Unluck”
The story of the Undead Unluck series centers around Fuuko Izumo, a small child with the capacity to summon ill luck, which causes everyone around her to perish.
But when she decides to terminate her life, she meets Andy—a man who regenerates and is incapable of dying. Andy wants to pass away in a way that will be remembered.
Given their mutual chemistry and individual struggles, they establish a solid bond.
