While nearly all the web did not find out about Jackman’s return till Tuesday, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld obtained a heads up.

Speaking with ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis, Liefeld says he was tipped off by an “trade buddy” that Jackman had signed a deal to return to his Wolverine position lengthy earlier than the announcement, formally becoming a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe through the occasions of Deadpool 3 in 2024.
