With the release of the final batch from the final season, Dragon’s Judgment, in June 2021, The Seven Deadly Sins anime’s voyage came to an end. The epic fantasy series had its ups and downs but managed to end effectively with happy resolutions for the viewers’ favorite characters.

Tragically, Escanor is the only one of the Seven Deadly Sins to pass away before the series’ conclusion. Escanor perishes in the last confrontation with the Demon King due to the tremendous weight of Sunshine’s might.

Escanor eagerly gives his life to protect his beloved companions since before joining the Sins, he had never felt like he belonged anywhere. Escanor declares his love for Merlin, knowing that it is not returned but hopeful that someday she would meet a man deserving of her love—a happy ending in its own right.

As the Seven Deadly Sins part ways, Hawk, an honorary member of the group, embarks on his adventure. He decides to go to Purgatory to erect a gravestone for his brother, whom Ban and Meliodas got to know when they were both in Purgatory. The two talking pigs enjoy an emotional reunion once he eventually finds his brother Wild.

Gowther intends to use the current period of peace following the conclusion of the Holy War to embark on a solo expedition in search of himself. He declines Diane and King’s request to join them.

Gowther intends to explore till he decides what he wants to do because he is unsure of it. He comes to Liones ten years later for the birthday of Meliodas and Elizabeth’s son, bringing the boy a “special present” of the memory of the Seven Deadly Sins’ exploits.

Merlin is the only surviving member of the Sins who does not attend the reunion for Tristan’s 10th birthday, therefore it is unclear if her dubious activities in releasing Chaos caused a rift with the other Sins.

The couple returns to the Fairy Forest after the Holy War is over to start preparing for their impending nuptials, which they promise will take place soon. Elaine becomes pregnant with Ban and Ban’s first child, whom Ban intends to call Lancelot, 18 months later.

This will be the first-ever child to be born to a human and a fairy, according to Gerheade. Since fairies are created from trees and flowers, Elaine considers it unusual to be expecting a child.

To celebrate Tristan’s tenth birthday, only Ban travels to Liones. Ban finds it funny that Meliodas chose not to tell Tristan the real truth and wishes he’d done the same to mess with his child when Tristan confronts the Sins who have gathered, thinking they’re still criminals. Since the end of the Holy War, only Meliodas and Elizabeth have remained in Liones.

After 18 months, they ascended to the throne and are expecting their first child together. Tristan, who turns 10 years old, learns that the Seven Deadly Sins, who were once criminals, will be congregating that evening. Because “it’s more fun this way,” Meliodas decides against telling Tristan the real truth, which is that the Sins are heroes.

Because the people of Liones adore Meliodas and Elizabeth so much, the entire kingdom gathers to celebrate Tristan’s birthday. Meliodas informs his son that he doesn’t have to be the next king—he can become a Holy Knight if that’s what he wants—later when Tristan expresses his wish to become a Holy Knight.
