Horimiya Plot:
After school, Kyoko Hori is an entirely different person from the teenager she looks like.
Hori has taken care of her brother since they were children in the absence of their working parents; between taking care of her brother, cooking for both of them, and housework, she does not have much spare time for socializing as a teenager should. Then, one day, she meets a boy who is quiet and taciturn, Izumi Miyamura, who also doesn’t reveal his true self at school.

Synopsis–

Tōru decides to live alone in a tent she constructed out of woods on an uninhabited piece of land unknown to her that it belonged to the Sōma family. A temporary job provides Tōru with support, and she hopes to help her grandfather.
When she finds a house on her way to school, she enters it and meets Shigure. He and Yuki Sōma (the “prince” and the desired boy of the school) find Tohru’s tent in the forest as dusk falls.
Tōru discovers that Yuki was camping on the famous Sōma family land when he wakes up at Yuki’s place. This is Shigure’s land and the Sōma live in a house on it. Yuki’s cousin Kyō appears, intending to challenge him to a fight.
While trying to stop Yuki and Kyō from fighting, Tōru trips over a piece of wood that has fallen from the ceiling, landing on Kyō, Yuki, and Shigure. At their initial contact with her, the three Sōma family members transform into animals, to Tōru’s surprise.
Upon returning to his human form, Shigure explains to Tōru that the members of the Sōma family have been cursed by the Chinese zodiac (同 士 jūnishi?).
They are transformed into animals according to the Chinese zodiac, based on the year that they were born, when hugged by members of the opposite sex or when experiencing extreme emotional turmoil.
Kyō is an exception, as she changes into a cat, which has been omitted from the Chinese zodiac due to the legend that it was betrayed by the rat. The cat cursed the rat as a form of revenge, and the curse fell on the other animals as well.
Yuki’s (the rat) betrayal leads to a passionate rivalry with Kyō (the cat), as well as being the foundation of the Sōma curse. A lot of people with other animals will come across Tōru during the series, and he will make friends with many of them.
