A Netflix release of the One Piece live-action series is planned for sometime in 2023. Netflix’s much-anticipated live-action adaption finally has a release date, so it appears that showrunner Matt Owens’ promise of further information was accurate.

Fans are already searching the internet for any new information they can uncover regarding the release date of One Piece: Live Action. Unfortunately, as of the time this page was written, there was no verifiable release information that was more precise than the series’ year of publication.

The Netflix One Piece live-action series is set to premiere at some point in 2023, as was officially announced on Monday, January 30, 2023. Although there is no official release date for the series, fans can make an educated guess as to when it will be available. The first two episodes were announced by Marc Jobst to be finished as of May 2022, and the show finished filming on August 22, 2022.

It’s possible that this task hasn’t been finished as of the time this article was written, given all the special effects the show will need to add throughout the editing process.

Additionally, the series trailer is probably going to debut in Netflix’s new Week in 2023, so viewers may anticipate a late summer or early fall 2023 premiere. When the show does debut, viewers can watch it on Netflix. Many One Piece live-action fans anticipate that the first season will adapt content from the Loguetown arc based on the aforementioned set and casting leaks over the previous 15 months.

The Straw Hats will enter the Grand Line shortly after the Straw Hats pass through Reverse Mountain in the East Blue saga’s concluding arc. However, it’s unclear what content, if any, will be deleted from the manga series’ original material before reaching this goal. For instance, some fans anticipate that the Gaimon subarc will be removed from the main Syrup Village arc.

This will therefore make it possible to concentrate more on Usopp’s growth, which will have a similar snowball effect on the ensuing Sanji and Nami arcs. Beyond this, though, it doesn’t seem like any particular scenes could be removed from the live-action adaptation. In the same way, no important sets were missing from the earlier window of set-building information that was disclosed.

Fans can anticipate that the first season will adapt every other canonical material from the beginning of the series through the Loguetown arc. A behind-the-scenes look at the development of Netflix’s Geeked Week 2022 was made public along with the casting of new actors in June. Late in July, as part of the One Piece Day celebrations, it was announced that Colton Osorio had been chosen to play Young Luffy in the show.
