This Japanese slice-of-life comedy anime was produced by J.C. staff under the title Gokushufudou (The Way of the HouseHusband). Netflix currently streams the animated version of the show. Despite all the hype built for it, it did not live up to its expectations.
The anime storyline and manga storyline are the same, the manga received vast acclaim, but it’s in the animation that it lost its charm. To represent the animation, we got colored manga pages. 10. Horimiya
It is possible that Horimiya and Gokushufudou have a few similarities despite the latter’s focus on the yakuza. An anime similar to Gokushufudou, Horimiya is a romantic comedy about everyday life. A magnificent plot and excellent characters make this a superb rom-com.

The personalities of Izumi Miyamura and Kyouka Hori are opposites. It is difficult to imagine these two together. Nevertheless, their hidden sides are revealed one fateful day during an encounter between them.
Their escapades together are now revealing to them both a part of themselves they have been hiding from the outside world.
9. Mob psycho 100
At first glance, those who have seen this anime might deem it unrelated to Gokushufudou, since it comes with a superpower element. Yakuza, Japanese criminal organization, is the subject of Gokushufudou, an anime.
The anime series Mob Psycho 100 features an engaging plot and a good amount of comedy.

Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama is not a typical eighth-grader. When he was a young man, he developed psychic abilities. As his power could be risky, he suppressed it. Arataka Reigen, who claims to be endowed with psychic powers, teaches him how to use his powers to earn pocket money.
8. My Teen Romantic Comedy is Wrong as Expected
Compared to Gokushufudou, Oregairu is a high school anime that combines slice-of-life and romance. Anime revolves around high school students who solve the problems of others. The MC has a different perspective on society, which makes its appeal remarkable.
It combines romance, beautiful artwork, and some good comebacks into one excellent series.

An essay by Hikigaya Hachiman mocks social relationships, which results in his punishment. It is now his duty to help other people solve their problems through the Volunteers Club. As he uses his wits to fix other people’s problems, his attitude towards society begins to change.
7. Back Street Girls: Gokudolls
Several similarities will exist between Gokushufudou and this anime, as the two anime are directed by the same person. This seinen anime tells the story of three yakuza members becoming pop idols in Thailand after the gender of their bodies is changed. A lot of the humor is reminiscent of Gokushufudou.

When yakuza members Kentarou, Ryou, and Kazuhiko fail one more time, they have two options – to get their organs harvested or get their genders are altered in Thailand to become pop idols. In Thailand, they are reborn as the characters Airi, Chika, and Mari after a year of training. They describe themselves as top idols together as GokuDolls.
6. Hinamatsuri
Hinamatsuri is the same as any yakuza anime. The setting is similar to Gokushufudou in this comedy supernatural anime. Through the introduction of superpowers, Hinamatsuri takes the plot to an entirely new level. Both Gokushu and Hinamatsuri portray husbands and stepfathers, respectively.

A capsule fall on Yoshifumi Nitta while he is storing a valuable vase. There’s a little girl inside the capsule with blue hair who speaks only her name, Hina. Hina is endowed with powerful abilities. Unless she uses her powers on him, Yoshifumi uses the powers for his yakuza business.
5. Hyouka
Youka shares a lot in common with Oregairu, but is quite different from Gokushufudou – their only common aspect is their genre, which is romance and slice of life. The plot of Hyouka is somewhat similar to Oregairu’s. Oreki, who has excellent deductive prowess but is lazy, is one of the best MCs of the series.

A student who is always saving energy, Oreki Houtarou, joins the Classic Club at her sister’s request. The 45-year-old club room mystery ended up providing him with much more than he had expected. Now, in addition to solving the 45-year mystery, Oreki and his fellow members work on a few other cases.
4. Durarara
Durarara shares the same gang system as Gokushufudou. This is the only thing they have in common. In the remaining areas, everything is different. The genres are mystery, thriller, and supernatural. It is certainly not suitable for casual watches or to lighten your heart. The anime makes you want to stick to it for its thrilling field plot.

The boredom of Mikado Ryuugamine’s mundane life is driving him to seek motion and excitement. He is pleasantly surprised by an invitation from a childhood friend to Tokyo.
It seemed as if he had been granted his wish when he became acquainted with the legend of the Black Rider. In the midst of the supernatural events, many ordinary citizens and other districts of his hometown also become involved.
3. Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte Kara
As with Gokushufudo, Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte Kara has a househusband set up. Their hardworking wives seek comfort from their househusbands who cook for them at night. Even though in Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte Kara, it is more like Cocktail ability.

In addition to her profession as an assistant manager, Chisato Mizusawa has a secret side- her husband Sora is privy to her cute side when she is drunk, so he takes care of her every day by feeding her a good meal and providing fresh drinks. A life full of happiness and cocktails awaits them together.
2. Sakomoto Desu Ga?
A slice-of-life anime from Studio Deen, Sakamoto Desu Ga blends comedy and slice-of-life. Gokushufudou shares similar comedy elements. Both MCs have funny characters and share a similar type of humor. Even though the plots are usually different, they seem to be so in sync.

Sakamoto is the definition of perfection. It’s all done in a cool, sophisticated, and sublime manner. His first day on campus left everyone, including his seniors, astonished. There seems to be no one who can derail him. While students and teachers won’t ever reach his level, they will learn a few things trying.
1. The Disastrous Life of Saiki Kusuo
From Studio J.C. Staff and Egg Firm comes the comedy, supernatural anime The Disastrous Life of Saiki Kusuo. There is a lot of similarity between this anime and Gokushufudou, as both have MCs who are very different from what they appear to be. Their styles of comedy are similar. You will laugh your heart out when you watch this anime because it has good characters and a great plot.

Saiki Kusuo has psychic abilities, but he views them more as a curse than as a blessing. Normal middle school life is what Saiki K wants. However, the life of a psychic is far from calm. While he keeps his power under wraps, he is often the subject of his peers’ attention. Living an ordinary life is proving to be a lot more challenging than expected.
