At the surface, this series seems like a generic one but no it isn’t. It unfolds cloudy high schooler feelings and experiences.

The protagonist, Sawako’s compassionate personality makes her likable.

Despite her sweet and kind nature, Sawako Kuronuma is feared by her classmates and judged wrongly because she resembled the character of The Ring. Due to this, she is not able to make friends until the time she comes across Shouta Kazehaya.

Sawako makes many new friends and talks to different people after being friends with Kazehaya. Sawako discovers a whole new world of making friends and talking to different people.

Sawako starts feeling something new and unknown but thanks Kazrhaya for his help. What did she know that he felt the same for her.

6. Horimiya

We never notice that even small things can make a difference or leave an impression. Things that most often seem not so important end up being the only things that matter.

Horimiya is the best example of this concept. The series shows a drastic evolution of expectations and circumstances for Izumi.

Izumi Miyamura is a dismal guy with long hair and glasses. He is an introvert which means he doesn’t socialize so much.

But he is a suave dude who also wears earrings. Somehow he and the most popular girl of the school Kyouko Hori come to speaking terms.

These contrasting personalities attract each other and become a couple.

5. Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day

Anohana is an emotional roller coaster and your safety belts for this series are tissues. There is nothing shorter and well-executed than this one.

The revealing of guilt and sadness takes over you and you feel everything the character goes through.

Jinta Yadomi is an introvert who likes to play games and stay away from school. One day he sees his best friend Meiko Honma, but Meiko has been dead for six years now.

4. Toradora

This is a series with a gradual build-up to the actual romance. Ryuji and Taiga’s interactions are enticing because they do not realize their true feelings till the end of the series.

Ryuji Takasu is a second-year high school student whose features are intimidating and he is often mistaken to be one of the troublesome ones. Ryuji’s best friends are Yusaku Kitamura and Minori Kushieda, the girl he likes.

Further, in the story, he meets a cute and ballsy girl named Taiga Aisaka. She tells him that she has a crush on Yusaku Kitamura whereas we know that Yusaku has a soft spot for Minori.

The conclusion for this complicated situation turns out to be something none of them had in mind.

3. Kaguya-sama: Love is War

Trust me, you will never enjoy the interaction between two characters more than what is shown in this series. This series gives some Death Note vibe but in a romantic way.

Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya are the presidents and vice presidents respectively, of the prestigious Shuchiin Academy. Kaguya is going to inert all the wealth of the Shinomiya empire.

Whereas, Miyuki Shirogane is an ace student of the academy whom everyone respects.

2. Fruits basket

This series is in talks because of good reasons. At the surface level, it may seem like a silly mindless run-of-the-mill romance. But this is much more than just romance, it has stunning characters and round development of the same.
